Organization of the CIRTPA

Two designated committees form the structure of the CIRTPA: the Transportation Technical Committee (TTC) and the Transportation Policy Committee. The Policy Committee receives input and recommendations from the TTC.  In addition, the Policy Committee establishes and supports other committees on various transportation-related issues relevant to the CIRTPA’s responsibilities, as needed.  The CIRTPA can also request citizens to serve on these committees, if appropriate. As part of its public participation process, the CIRTPA encourages input by, and communication from, citizens in performing its transportation planning responsibilities.
Each member government is entitled to appoint one representative to the Policy Committee and one representative to the TTC. An appointed representative may act on behalf of more than one member government in that county. The Policy Committee elects three officers annually: Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary/Treasurer.  The TTC elects two officers: Chair and Vice Chair.
