Transportation Planning Alliance

The Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance (CIRTPA) carries out transportation planning for eight central Iowa counties. The CIRTPA serves as the designated regional transportation planning agency for Region 11.

CIRTPA Begins Public Input Process For The Horizon Year 2035 Long-Range Transportation Plan

This survey is intended to gather input regarding the development of the central Iowa's transportation system. We want you to tell us your future so that we can make it happen. Take the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RKBH3HM
The results of this survey will be combined with input received at public meetings held throughout central Iowa. This information will be used to develop the CIRTPA's Horizon Year 2035 Long-Range Transportation Plan. The plan will provide guidance on the development of the regional transportation system to local decision-makers.
U.S. 30 Highway Corridor Study Receives National Association of Development Organizations 2010 Excellence in Regional Transportation Award

The Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance, along with the Region XII Council of Governments (COG), the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency - Regional Planning Affiliation (RPA) 18, the Region 6 Planning Commission, the East Central Iowa COG, and the East Central Intergovernmental Association, has been selected to receive a National Association of Development Organizations 2010 Excellence in Regional Transportation Award for the U.S. Highway 30 Corridor Study. The project was nominated by the Region XII CGO and developed for the U.S. HIghway 30 Coalition of Iowa.

The U.S. Highway 30 Corridor Study provides a detailed analysis of the U.S. Highway 30 corridor, promote the completion of a four-lane U.S. Highway 30, and offers a list of priorities for the short- and long-term development of the corridor.
