Transportation Management Advisory Committee

The Traffic Management Advisory Committee (TMAC), in May 2005, was created as a forum for incident management, traffic management, and intelligent transportation systems issues to be discussed and debated at the metropolitan/regional level and represents the merging of the Metro Traffic Management Team (MTMT) and the Iowa DOT’s I-235 Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Working Groups.

The TMAC consists of the staffs of local governments, local agencies, the Iowa Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration and other organizations whom carry out the day-to-day operations of the incident management, traffic management, and emergency management responsibilities and activities in the Des Moines metropolitan area.

Meeting Schedule:
TMAC is proposing to meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the DMAMPO Office.
