Socioeconomic Data: At a minimum, population, housing, employment, school enrollment, and vehicle availability databases will be maintained for the Planning Area.

Land Use Data: A compilation of local jurisdictions' land use plans will be developed and maintained.

Transportation Data: Physical changes to the Planning Area's transportation system will be monitored. Data will be obtained from local cities and counties, and from the Iowa Department of Transportation. Traffic counts on the highway and street system will be monitored. Other traffic counts may be required at sites within the planning area that are not coincidental with normal coverage or screenline locations. Accident data for the region, obtained from the Iowa DOT, will be used in analysis of and improvement of high accident locations using the Iowa DOT's Accident Location and Analysis System (ALAS). A multimodal transportation database for the region will be created. This database will be used in the analysis of the transportation planning program and process and in the development of the CIRTPA's Horizon Year (HY) 2015 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The modes represented in the database will include transit, bicycle, pedestrian, rail, freight, and air transportation.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities and Inventory Network Plan Update: The adopted Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities and Inventory Network Plan will be monitored to determine bicycle and pedestrian facilities and routes in the region. Work will continue, as necessary, to update the information and routes in the CIRTPA Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities and Inventory Network.
